Senior Designer/Art Director

The focus of this role is to coordinate and manage the daily workflow through the studio. Liaising between all parties ensuring the clients’ requirements are met. You will be accountable for providing excellence in design and innovation, focusing on the individual requirements of each client in the market place – pushing the creative boundaries across all projects!

The ideal candidate for this role will be at a senior level and will have previous experience in an identical position. You will understand the entire process from creative conception through to final art work and you will require the confidence to present your creative ideas and solutions both internally and to clients.

You will have a proven background – supported by your fantastic portfolio - in producing outstanding brand concepts, and campaigns and you will be advanced in using the entire creative suite. Most importantly you will be passionate about design and will have a creative flair that stands out from the crowd!

In addition you will be highly organized, deadline driven and professional with a good sense of humour and overall positive attitude.

Intermediate Designer

Design Administration

We are not currently hiring for this position.

Working for us, you will have a varied role as Receptionist/Office Manager.

This will involve; Organising all recruitment, training and supervision of reception staff, organisation of diaries, travel and accommodation, facilities management, organisation of in-house functions, managing post distribution, daily banking and couriers and assisting with general reception duties.

You will need to have top notch organisation skills as this is a varied role and will require someone who can multi-task and work well in pressured situations. You must also have great communication skill and have a friendly disposition, as you will be in contact with all visitors, clients and staff.

You will need at least two years experience in a similar role and a good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages.

Web Designer/ Developer

As a web designer/developer at Graphic Design Council, you will be responsible for the layout, visual appearance and usability of a website. This role may overlap with that of a Multimedia programmer and web architect. the work typically involves:

• Liaising closely with a customer or client at the design stage and finding the answers to questions about why the site is needed, who the target audience will be, who the leading competitors are, etc;
• Producing a design that will be attractive to the target user, has a logical navigation system and has all the features required;
• Writing web pages in a combination of codes, such as HTML and XHTML, CSS, Javascript, Actionscript, ColdFusion, .Net, Flash, or using code-generating programs, such as Dreamweaver and Visual Studio;
• Deciding on how images and other material will be digitally optimised and presented for the web;
• Ensuring that material on the web site is accessible to all groups including those with disabilities;
• Testing the site for functionality in different browsers and at different resolutions; fixing errors.

You will have knowledge of graphic design packages such as Fireworks or Photoshop in order to produce basic layout and manipulate images. Skills in e-commerce and server side technologies, such as PHP and .Net, and internet security are also vital to this role.
